Wintner's Movie Reviews I'm a huge movie fan. I go to the movies 2-3 times a week. So before you go out and drop $12 on a bad movie, read my reviews and I'll tell you what's up. Just do the world a favor and turn your cell phone off during the movie. As a matter of fact, during the trailers as well.
DRIVE Great to see another good movie. After Warrior being so good, this delivers again, in a very American History X kind of way. Done with class, it's a great story with style. This is the kind of movie that Hollywood needs to see more of.
WARRIOR Best movie I've seen in maybe 20 years, no bull!!!
HORRIBLE BOSSES Horrible Bosses gets the job done. It's everything we wished The Hangover II was and more. I laughed out loud many many times. It's the best comedy I've seen all year.
TRANSFORMERS 3 A huge transformation from the last time we saw Sam and Bumble Bee. This was a perfect action packed robotic summer film. The battles were easier to watch. Thank God I did not see it in 3D. My only complaint was that it was about 20 minutes too long.
GREEN LANTERN Don't waste your hard earned green with this one, it's a mess. Let's just say it did not gel with me.
SUPER 8 Super super. Remember that old feeling we once had, that cinema magic as a kid. I haven't felt this way since I was about 16, until now. I've seen this twice and it's a perfect classic Spielberg film, but it's J.J. Abrams, which is just awesome.
X-MEN FIRST CLASS One of the best movies from the whole franchise. Great story with great character build up. It really makes you want to see the next chapter. Loved it.
THE KING'S SPEECH Perfect! One of the best films I've seen in years. I highly recommend it as I'm sure this film will win plenty of Oscars!
TANGLED Classic old school Disney, just the way they were pre-Pixar. A perfect film.
LITTLE FOCKERS A horrible mistake! A complete waste of time. It killed any good memories I had of the franchise...
